The shooting modes of the Sony DSC-HX10V include  Superior Auto, Intelligent Auto, Easy Shooting, Program Auto, Movie Mode, Panorama,Picture Effect , Scene Selection, Manual Exposure, 3D and Background Defocus.
Scene modes include High Sensitivity, Night Scene, Handheld Twilight, Night Portrait, Landscape, Soft Snap, Soft Skin, Anti Motion Blur, Backlight Correction HDR, Beach, Snow, Fireworks, Advanced Sports Shooting, Gourmet and Pet Mode.
The DSC-HX10V has 1/2.3-inch Super HAD CCD image sensor and 18.2 million effective pixels. With the huge 16x optical and 32x digital zoom this camera offers one of the best zooming experience in this class. You can even silently zoom in and out while shooting a 1080p Full HD video.
The 1080p FULL HD videos recorded with the Cyber-Shot DSC-HX10V come out great and have maximum resolution of 1,920 x 1,080/50i.

The image processing is provided by the Sony’s BIONZ image processing system.
The Cyber-Shot DSC-HX10V has a 3.0-inch (7.5cm) Xtra fine LCD display which offers great picture even in direct sunlight conditions. That is definitely a good thing because the DSC-HX10V doesn’t have a viewfinder.
You can choose your DSC-HX10Vcomes in one of four different colors: black, white, silver or red.
The price of the Sony DSC-HX10V is around $320 which may be considered a very good deal. With these features and specs Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX10V has some strong competitors from Canon and few other brands but you definitely won’t go wrong with the DSC-HX10V as manufacturer Sony still makes some of the best point and shoot digital cameras.

Why, oh why did they put the ‘pop up’ flash where one normally places their left hand finger(s)?

It is quite annoying, isn’t it. I myself use the DSC-HX19V and it was a problem at first but got used to keeping my finger on the side of the camera. Other than that the Sony DSC-HX10V is an amazing camera.
