After the success of the X6, BMW is planning a new lower SAC – X4. It will appear after 2 years, production capacity is planned to reach 240,000 units in the plant godiino brand in South Carolina, USA. BMW X4 will compete with Land Rover Evoque, Porsche Macan and the forthcoming Audi Q6. X4 is powered by 4 – and 6-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, combined with 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch and 8-speed Steptronic. According to unofficial information later M sport division will prepare and a more powerful version X4 M. In terms of design, the model will be smaller X6 suture together with the unmistakable profile coupe.

BMW X4 will share powertrains with the X3, including four and six cylinder engines for both gasoline and diesel format. The new crossover will be assembled in BMW’s $900 million Spartanburg plant in South Carolina, USA.
The official release date for BMW X4 is the beginning of 2014 but rumors say production and sales may start in the middle of next year.
